Stewardship is the recognition that all we have is a gift from God.

It asks that we use our time, talent, and treasure to fulfill the depth of our commitment to St. Joseph Cathedral.

The Stewardship Committee at St. Joseph Cathedral seeks to actively facilitate the innate generosity of our parishioners and friends of the Cathedral, as well as effectively communicate the needs of the parish and the opportunities for involvement. The faith community provides the much needed financial resources that help the Cathedral continue its good work and advance the mission of the Church.

Contributing and even sacrificing financially is also a part of Christian life; for many years, the tithing formula our Diocese has used is giving 10% of our family income to charity, recommending 5% to the parish, 1% to the Diocese, and 4% to other charities (including the many second collections).
